They served their idols and were ensnared by them. I support the constitution: //the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.// Our support of freedom means little as our children are gunned down with a frequency rivaled by the most savage war-torn regions of the least civilized nations. I do not know what the answer is but I am convinced it is not the sacrificing our children upon an altar built to a false idol.

I don't know what it will take to convince you that I want you to have as many guns as you want. Or why I even bother trying.

If you are going to argue against the validity of jihad, you must also be willing to argue that all faith-based actions are invalid. Actions based on instructions received from unseen forces, and 'knowledge' attained from mystic sources without proof, are all equally questionable or valid.

We are trying to make sure that it doesn't escalate to that. I'm positive that if the laws were different here, Many Christians would be slicing up gays and transgender people, as many already do. Some doctors have even let some die by refusing to treat them. Such horrors are not exclusive to one religion.

The Quran is not a set of instructions on a cookbook that a muslim must follow step by step to be called muslim. The Quran is a set of revelations, made at various points in time, 1000s of years ago. The events in the Quran are not even in sequence, They’re rhyming poems(in arabic) that were revealed in view of important historical events. Everyone, including those who speak Arabic must read the Quran with what we call, Tafseer. Even if they don’t, more often than not, the preceding verses make the incidents clear. To make it easy, the Quran that I have, at least comes with translations and foot notes that explain every incident in totality and is easily available on the internet.

▪️Quran 9:123: Verse 9:123 is one among 7 verses which are bound by a context. The above verse was revealed in order to fight the enemy, Banu Qurayza, a tribe who lived in Medina. They allied with the pagan Arabs of Makkah in order to exterminate the Muslim community. It was they who persecuted the Muslims. The object was to stop persecutions

▪️Quran 9;29:The verse 9:29 is a command to fight the Byzantine Romans and other hostile powers who were planning an invasion against the Muslims in Arabia. In context, it is a distinct response to aggression, in particular the assassination of one of the Prophet’s ambassadors.

▪️Quran 2;191: The verse in question is one that was revealed during a war scenario. There was a pact that the Muslims had made with the non-Muslims at that time and that pact was violated. It was for Makkan people who had violated a treaty of peace and persecuted Muslims living in peace without provocation. This had led to war. Like you know, during those days- war tended to be more honorable and was fought in battlefields, not cities and towns where women and children lived. This verse is akin to an army general commanding his soldiers to "Kill the Enemy" or "Fire on sight". It is a battle cry, not a general direction to kill any non-Muslim or person who disagrees with you at anytime. It is war specific. If you read the next verse 2:192 and 2:193 it says that the moment the enemies cease fighting- you have to stop the attack immediately. A lot of armies at the time did not believe in letting the enemy survive at all, irrespective of surrender.

“Those lies put the safety of 100 students at risk and those lies are meant for them to save face. I want people to be held accountable,” Ketzer said.

The school principal also noted that the majority of the students at Rise Up Community School came to the charter school after they had struggles at other schools, many of which involved bad experiences with police. As a result, Ketzer said he is concerned that being interrogated by officers when they were attempting to learn in school, would only serve to further destroy the students’ trust in police.

Padres & Jóvenes Unidos is condemning the incident and calling it an example of why police should not be given open access to schools. In a statement, the organization called for an investigation and accused the Denver Police Department of choosing “to put students and teachers in harm’s way.”

“After being informed by the administration that the student was not at school, DPD waited approximately fifteen minutes—during which time they conferred with the DPS Department of Safety—before conducting a search. They refused to produce a warrant when asked, and armed officers went from classroom to classroom harassing students and staff. At one point weapons were drawn on a member of the faculty,” the statement said.

Footage of the police raid on the school has yet to be publicly released. If you would like to contact the Denver Police Department to voice your opinion on this incident, call (720) 913-2000 or visit the department’s Facebook page.

How's your BILL of RIGHTS looking these days America?

Denver, CO – Community members are horrified after they say police officers conducted a classroom-to-classroom search with guns drawn and interrogated teachers and students in a charter school, all to look for a student who was absent. While the police department released a statement justifying the incident, teachers are claiming that police are lying “to save face.”

“The staff and students were traumatized,” Lucas Ketzer, principal at Rise Up Community School, told the Denver Post as he described the way a group of police officers raided the building in their search for a student who was not in attendance.

Officers stormed the school and began searching the classrooms, and Ketzer said that when a science teacher “told officers they could not search her room without a warrant” they pushed her aside, and entered the classroom where they “pulled students out of their chairs, removed their hats and asked them for their IDs as they searched.”

“When I was sitting in class, they came bursting in, and then they were like in everybody’s faces, like looking at us, and I felt so unsafe,” student Mary Jimenez told Padres & Jóvenes Unidos. She said the officers singled one student out, grabbed him by the arm, and forced him to remove his hat so that they could compare him to the photo of the student they were targeting.

The principal also told the Post that the officers scoured the building with their guns drawn and when a faculty member opened a back door to check for students, “multiple officers pointed their guns at her.”

ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION:

However, when the Denver Police Department released a statement responding to the incident, it claimed that the “officers that were inside, did not draw their weapons at any point during the search for the suspect.”

The principal also told the Post that the officers scoured the building with their guns drawn and when a faculty member opened a back door to check for students, “multiple officers pointed their guns at her.”

Just a reminder as we keep hearing about the royal wedding. In my lifetime, (and yours if you are over 40) there were laws against 'interracial marriage'. Think about that. I am old enough to remember that in 1967 the supreme court stuck down laws in every state marked in red on this map. We still have people who seek to stop 'interracial' and 'same ****' marriage. Love is Love.

Thanks, Neanderthal, for providing a succinct summary of the basic Islamic belief system for those who are ignorant of it to read. I became curious about Islam back when the 9/11 massacre (jihad) took place and discovered the same things you mentioned during my research. I even found an English translation of the Quran in my local library and read it. Islam is a very intolerant religion, but when I try to tell people that, I am declared an instant Islamophobe and should be arrested for hate speech!!
