In my personal opinion. The best video game ever made was Metroid Prime for the Nintendo Game Cube. What was or is your best?

Personally, I'd say GTA 5 is probably the best game made so far, but it's definitely the best game I've played.

Adolph Hitler: "You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion [Islam] too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"

While the German government has gone to great lengths to silence criticism of its immigration policy, as well as the effects of said policy, I cannot lay blame for the massive influx of migrants on the German government. The blame rightfully attributed to the German government is due, in large part, to the collective guilt of the German people that has been instilled in each new generation from birth since the end of WW II. It will, ultimately, bring about the next world war.

As always...JMHO

The German government wasn't responsible for the conflicts that instigated the grassroots cultural invasion of Western Europe. But they have been an enthusiastic cheerleader for, and facilitator of, the Islamic influx into Germany.

At first glance this is an affront to German culture, with its liberal ideals, not to mention its love of pork and alcohol. Ah, but Germany has socialized medicine, and I bet the German government isn't too thrilled with the public's appetite for booze and high cholesterol foods.

Personally I think they're nuts. People such as Hitler and maybe Merkel look at Western Europe and say "this is great, but if only we had a different philosophy, we'd be better and stronger, we'd have more power" and they seemingly forget that the existing philosophy is probably the central factor behind why it became so great and made them as powerful as they are.

If that's not enough evidence for you, you can toss out a large portion of recorded history, because it isn't any better supported.

None of this is proof. It's just words given to us by other people, who say this is true.

No documents, text, stone tablets or anything to back any of this up.

Well yes, there are: the memoirs of Albert Speer, a member of Hitler's inner circle. According to him, it was something Hitler said repeatedly.

Yes and no. Hitler was a politician, so there's a predictable difference between his personally held opinions and his public statements.

The person who quoted him was in his inner circle, so he'd be in a position to know some of his more closely guarded thoughts.

In response to “I doubt Hitler said that. At this point...

From 'Inside the Third Reich' the memoirs of Albert Speer, Hitler’s architect and minister for armaments:

Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of distinguished Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France into Central Europe during the eighth century, his visitors had told him, they had been driven back at the Battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The German peoples would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament. Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate and conditions of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.

Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking: ‘You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?’

Hi Lorraine. It's a 1996 Honda XR650L, basically a dirt bike that's street legal. I just got it recently, traded it for my 1981 Yamaha XT250 with a buddy of mine who was looking for a smaller, less intimidating bike. It's a little rough around the edges but it's a lot of fun. The picture was taken on a little rocky outcropping not far from my home, I was out for an evening ride.

What's with this weird idea that we should only ever talk about important things? Most important things are incredibly depressing, and it's not like pontificating on this backwater website is going to change anything

Discussing things you think are important gives you the opportunity to have your ideas challenged, and that's incredibly valuable.

Like most people, I was indoctrinated into the mindset imposed on me by the educational system and the media. By having my ideas challenged, I found that a lot of the things I believed couldn't be supported. That process definitely involved some pain, we tend to identify with our beliefs and nobody likes to be wrong.

But what it did was cause me to arrange my world view around a perspective I can support with facts rather than just parroting mainstream nonsense.

Most of that happened on Sodahead, but that's what has been most valuable to me about this conversation I've been having with other people on social media.

In response to “I thought it was funny, but I know not...

Trying to explain why something isn't funny is a little like trying to explain why something is funny, but for the sake of understanding, I feel like giving it a shot.

I'm well aware that Trump has been mercilessly (and often unfairly) attacked by the establishment propagandists who call themselves late night comics. So for Trump to call them "lowlifes" and "lost souls" is a fairly apt description in my opinion. It's like, for the joke to work, you'd have to forget everything they've said to earn the criticism they were reacting to. They are lowlifes, it's true. So it's not really funny to see them sit there like, "moi?" It's like, "yes you, ****."

I'm not saying this is how you should see the situation, but that's how I see it.

What does the Left want?

Where does the left get its support from? They want more of that.

Racial division, good or bad for the left?
Gender division, good or bad for the left?
Cultural division, good or bad for the left?
Poverty, good or bad for the left?

All the issues the left makes a show of fighting against, they benefit from perpetuating. That's what the left wants.
