Wastebot: Turn plastic and other trash into fuel at home

Well, that's pretty interesting.
I found a link to the original FEMA plans for this thing if one wanted to investigate a little more before investing $250 for plans that you may not use.

Hey Budwick. I've got the FEMA plans, but it's a fairly primitive design intended to work with wood rather than plastic, and I'm not sure what has to be done differently to convert plastic.

The unit I built was based on a design by a YouTuber called Mr Teslonian, with a couple features I borrowed from Victory Gasworks' design. It produces a lot of gas, makes about a 2 foot blue/white flame, and that's with no filter. I'd like to install it on a truck I have if I can ever find the time.

In terms of plans for a straight up woodgas generator, free is free, so that's good, but it seems like Victory Gasworks has about the best ones on offer, I think they're charging around $100.

Truth - A destructive thing. we should always hide it

Oh yeah? What truth?

In response to “Oh yeah? What truth?

THE truth.

Truth is its own thing, you can accept it or deny it, hide it or come up with a delusion to replace it in your mind, but you don't control it, it exists independently of you and stands in eternity.

Truth - A destructive thing. we should always hide it

"The truth shall make you free." -Jesus (John 8:32)

If the truth shall make you free, what do lies do to you? They enslave you. That's why tyranny and lies always go hand in hand.

"In our country (USSR) the lie has become not just a moral category but a pillar of the State." -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

"When the devil lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." -Jesus (John 8:44)

For too many **Make America Great Again** means "let's go back to a time when abusing minorities and assaulting women is considered normal." They want to shoot teenage 'thugs' and threaten to kill women who dare to report abuse.

Thanks Maze!
I'm proud having friends like yourself.

Here you are from our neighbor Canada with more knowledge of our political party history than most US citizens - INCLUDING those in congress!

Thank you

From what I've seen as an outside observer, making America great again is about making the country a safe, prosperous and free nation again... for every citizen. That's something most people want, but the left obviously doesn't want to support their opposition, so the only thing they can do is mischaracterize MAGA so it seems less attractive to the public.

If you take a look at history, the Republican party was formed to end slavery, and when they won, the first GOP president Abraham Lincoln ended slavery. The Democrats opposed ending slavery and were the party that instituted Jim Crow segregation laws. They still use racism to divide people, they're the ones who are constantly making everything about race and identity. The only identity that matters to the GOP is American. So the left twists that into being something racist when in reality it's the opposite.

Walking downtown I nod and smile at almost everyone in this diverse city, blacks, Hispanics, those wearing hajibs, turbans, yarmulkes, but I am prejudiced, I fear and avoid those wearing red hats especially those with confederate flag teeshirts. I know this is intolerance on my part and I am trying to accept them in my heart, but it is hard. I associate that style of dress with hatred and right-wing terrorism.

Yes, media does have a way of making us fear people based on the actions of a few members. So does POTUS- making some think that all Mexicans are rapist or all Syrians are ISIS.

Vic, was it POTUS saying that, or was that just the way yellow journalists characterized what he said? Because I've heard both what Trump said and what was reported by the press, and it seemed to me that Trump made valid points and the media mischaracterized what he said due to their political bias and willingness to mislead their audience.

It sounds like you have a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. There aren't individuals or gangs of people in MAGA hats terrorizing people, you literally have nothing to fear from them, so your fear is not based in reality, it's based in fantasy. Who put that fantasy in your head? Probably the "mainstream media", the same organizations that have lied America into every war in your lifetime. If you're going to fear something, fear lies, fear yellow journalism and the hysteria it creates, THAT is genuinely dangerous.

So you are saying you can't understand a viewpoint that opposes yours. Is that correct?

I'm not all that clear on what viewpoint you were trying to express.

I do agree though that the people who are most ready to condemn the "hate speech" of others seem to have no compunction about verbally expressing their own hatred.

Freedom is slavery; war is peace; ignorance is strength

"Freedom is slavery, war is peace, ignorance is strength." was the slogan of the tyrannical regime controlling society in the book '1984'. It's basically a commentary on the fallacious logic propagated by tyrants throughout history.

Freedom is slavery: that's basically the argument of socialism. According to them, in a free market people are slaves to the corporate elite. They seek to replace free markets with controlled production, saying it will end workers' slavery to corporations (failing to mention of course that they will become literal slaves to the government).

War is peace: remember "humanitarian intervention" into Libya? Humanitarian war, what a sick farce. Prior to the war, women in Libya went in public unveiled, attended university, held important positions, there were generous social programs. Now Libya is ruled by competing warlords and there are literal slave markets. How humanitarian. But all war is sold as advancing the cause of peace.

You can look to more recent events too, look at the whole concept of "punch a Nazi" on the far left. You have people peacefully demonstrating for free speech rights and they're violently attacked by people who think they're attacking Nazis, failing to realize that they're the ones behaving like Nazis. They make war for the cause of peace... in their minds. In reality, they're just suckers who've been sold war.

Ignorance is strength: that's basically the argument of censors in a nutshell. In their minds, it's good if people aren't exposed to certain ideas, better if they self-censor the ideas they consider through biases imparted to them by media and education. In the minds of censors, ignorance is strength.

You do understand that if you give $100 to a to rich person she will add it to her investment portfolio and the stock market will go up and everyone will applaud you, if you give $100 to a poor person he will buy food and clothing boosting the economy and jobs but the stock market won't go up as fast and everyone will call you a commie, right?

Depends on how you define "socialism".

Yes, in socialist countries the elite are the party insiders, and they literally do get to decide how much to take from everybody and who gets it. As much sway as capitalist elites have, nobody is forced to do business with them.

If you voluntarily give money to the poor, that's not communism, it's charity. Socialism would be taking that money from someone else to give to the poor, and under communism everyone is equally poor, so you wouldn't be in a position to give.

Would you choose the chicken or the fish with your $35,000 meal at the Trump Hotel in Washington DC?

That's how fundraising dinners work, you're not buying a dinner, you're making a campaign donation. Personally I'm Canadian, so I won't be buying any $35,000 meals from Trump or any other US politician because that would be illegal.

That reminds me, that David Hogg kid recently went in front of a crowd in Canada and wanted them to donate to the Dems before he was told it was illegal and Michael Moore took the microphone away from him, lol.

Hogg: "Who wants to save America?"
Canadian crowd: polite applause
Me: facepalm

Ok. Lets talk about energy becoming matter. And vice versa.

Matter and energy swap places all the time.

The sun shines, making the tree grow. Then after it dies, I come along and chop it up and extract the energy by burning it in my stove. So in essence, I'm heating my home with solar energy collected by the tree.

Here's something a bit controversial. Netflix will be adapting witcher series from the original books. For the role of Ciri who's a pale, green eyed and ashen haired girl they want to cast a "BAME" (black, asian, minority, ethnic) Do you think political ideologies should have a place in entertainment?

I think a movie adaptation of a book should try to faithfully represent the author's vision. What they're doing is disrespectful and it will probably piss a bunch of people off. Get woke, go broke.

Having anything against muslim women for wearing the hijaab does not sound like //freedom// to me. As a muslim woman; to me, //oppression// is not being able to dress up how I want and **I** want to wear the hijaab. To me, //oppression// is not being able to explore another country for education or jobs because I’ll be told to go back to where I came from.

If you espouse a violently intolerant, supremacist ideology like Nazism or Islam, don't be surprised if people don't want you around.

Should Aboriginals have all of their land back and get rid of the so-called Australians?

Also, the ocean is for sharks, not sailing boats or surfers. Powerboats can stay, as long as at least one third of them will be confiscated and given to the aboriginals. There are huge lakes in the Outback (Bush), where they can play with them.

True, but why would they want powerboats? Those are just a symbol of white oppression (especially when you fuel them up, amirite?). Better to carve boats out of logs and paddle them. Not only is it free, it's good exercise.
