Not a chance.
Nah, **** her, it is your cat now.
I consulted New Cat and he agrees.
" loser weepers, finder's keepers"
a fixed male cat
well you cannot name him Fritz!
I'm just glad you didn't call him Marko.
nope not a cat person
She doesn't deserve a cat
I'd give it back or find another home for it as I don't care much for cats.
They are annoying furry bastards, from my experience.
It wouldn't be my responsibility....I don't like cats at all.
I wouldn't take on the cost or responsibility for a cat that isn't mine, especially since I'm not a cat person.
A cat cannot be owned.
It pwns ye and haunts you 4ever.
Not to be difficult, but I've never like the concept of 'pet ownership'.
I'm more a fan of 'Guardian'. But I digress;
Legally I think the cat probably belongs to the original useless piece of shit that ignored the cat.
Morally, the new loving and caring guardian of the cat should be awarded permanent guardianship.
The cat should rebel and become it's own master I for one welcome our kitty overlords
Best response. :)
You said the cat lives there.it said, you tell the owner the cat needs flea meds. You answered the question.
First, I wouldn't spend money on an animal that isn't mine, Second, clearly the owner has mistreated the cat, so I would find a home for the poor thing.
I wouldn't waste time feeding a "pet" that wasn't mine.
I would just call the Humane Society, and have them pick it up.
Then they will take care of the situation, one way or another.
After reading most of the comments, i applaud you for caring.
Lucky me-- I live in Utah. No fleas here. They can't survive in this climate. However, in regards to your question, take care of the cat. It's depending on you because clearly, nobody else seems to care about the welfare of the cat but you do
And I just love the people that said, "nope, I'm not a cat person."
What the hell does that have to do with morally doing the right thing??
I was among those people. I have two and one is 18 years old this month
The one who cares about the wellbeing of the cat is the one who owns it. Cats should be registered just like dogs as it is discrimination to do otherwise. No registration? Fines or taken away just like dogs.
I have stolen kittens and cats away from uncaring idiots.
I bow to you. :)
For all those who said you aren’t “Cat People” let’s have fun. Suppose the word “cat” was replaced by the words “Dog”, “Horse”, or “Human Child”.. Just curious. :)
I would not just sit by and watch an animal be neglected that way, if I could possibly intervene. I've done so in the past, and would again.
My cat Monkey "belonged" to someone else when she adopted me, I found out. After a neighbor informed me that the woman who had her had just recently killed one of her cats in a fold-up sofa bed....I turned around walked back home. We were buds and companions for 18 years...
Sounds like Monkey was awesome. :)
She was. All my animal friends have been in their way, but she was way up there in her awesomeness. :)
Yup, I’ve had many. If a cat truly loves you. You are a good person. :)
Cats are not owned by anyone, ever!
