Retrowave/Synthwave for filling up a friday night with classic synths and relaxin. Gettin up and going for a run with nothin' stopping you. Dropping the hammer or the clutch and speeding down a lonely highway. Delivering tofu in your AE86. Getaway driving for lunatics wearing your shiny scorpion jacket and no-speaking lines coolness /// Letting your girlfriend have fun being in a car built for one, but has two seats because she needs somewhere to sit. You control everything, the radio which is hidden, spinning rear tires in a Honda S2000 as just driving one has more cop magnetism than a cherry bomb-equipped CRX. https://youtu.be/Rrr0YH-dm6k?t=6 /// DJ Tanor is on the scene and bringing you the waves for that oh so sweet vibes, and no I'm not controlling you with them. That's just an extra~. No requests tonight babe, I'm mixing in the acid tonight...

Scandroid, the modern Synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the 80s.

The debut, self-titled album features 15 tracks, ranging from the driving instrumental energy of "Destination Unknown," to melodic vocal tracks like "Awakening With You," "Aphelion," and "Neo-Tokyo," rounded out with the cinematic epics "2517" & "Singularity."

As a child of the 80s, Klayton has also included a cover of the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout," that he has been patiently waiting to cover since he first heard the song on U.S. radio in 1985. The digital album concludes with a bonus remix from synthwave artist Waveshaper. The 72 minute album depicts themes of a cyberpunk future where humans and sentient robots struggle to find a connection in their dystopian world.

Kavinsky was the one that brought me into retrowave in the first place along with Carpenter Brut and Hotline Miami, but Kavinsky was the start, as well as Lazerhawk.
