Financial globalization is a given. No boarders for $$$. Just people.
Does anyone really believe that 45 is in this for the good of the country?
There are many who are benefitting right now. Happy accident.
Many are not. Look what they are trying to do with food benefits. Bottom line, if you work 60 to 80 hours a week and 30 to 50% of your funds go for housing, nutritional food just isnt affordable for too, too many folks.
But, those that need it the least....

It is all about aggrandizing himself. Today Trump announced that he had unilaterally reversed a law enforcement decision of the Justice Department which had sanctioned ZTE for suspected espionage.

ZTE, a Chinese company, whose phones are banned in the US because they are too 'hackable' was sanctioned for, among other things, violations of patents and copyrights.

Trump said he would get the Chinese people working again. So much for America First. Then the announcement that China would be investing is Trumps project.

Can you freaking imagine if Obama had unilaterally reversed a JD ruling? Talk about Tyranny and abuse of power. SMH.

I can certainly imagine it, vic.
So many things that would have the right screaming. I too would scream if obama or any democrat did what trump is doing and has done. Republicans (if that is what they are) complain about presidents cashing in after leaving office. Trump is doing it while IN office. I think his wealth is fake news. I think he needed this gig.

Oh, so the US cuts off Chineese cell phone business for company that the US federal officials say we can't trust... and they pay Trump to get their jobs back... so China gets their spy cellphone business running again, and Trump gets paid.

Oh I completely agree with those two choices there was automatically going to be a horrible organizations in office no matter what...

Let's not forget that Trump was a long term Clinton supporter, so he learned somethings from there, and basically they both might of tried to put the fix in to win the race. Which is why I argue that Trump isn't a true Republican... and it's sad to see some of the House Republicans swear loyalty to Trump over the Republicans voters.

There is a name for this, when a world leader uses his/her influence to aggrandize his own business. Not surprised so many Trump supporters are OK with this, even when those same supporters flipped out when they learned democrats accepted contribution to a charitable foundation from foreign governments.

Most republicans call this pay-to-play when a democrat does it and call it "capitalism" or "being smart" when a republican does it.

The Trump organization has done business with China for decades. Do you expect them to take this multi-billion dollar business just and pack it in?

Yes I do, and so should you.!

That has been the protocol for presidents going back centuries. That is why there is an emoluments clause in the constitution.

Granted not every president has had such a huge business but Carter was no slouch and he shuttered his peanut business when we was elected. Most only had to give up a law practice or a government position.

Trump could have actually set up a blind trust like he said he would do - but clearly he did not and clearly he is using his power and authority to make deals.

When President Reagan took office, he liquidated all of his holdings and turned them over to a financial manager. Bill Clinton used blind trusts while he was in office, as did George W. Bush.
You have to go back the Harding to find a president who didn't do that. He is was the lowest rated president in the last 100 years and is consider the most corrupt.

This surely looks like he swapped the ZTE sanctions for a promise of cash-flow. Not in the interest of the American people, but in the interest of himself.
