What was it for and was it worth it?
Swipe to go to another post.
Two+ hours, IIRC, for a ride at Cedar Point. The ride itself was just okay, and the only thing that made it worth it was the smile on the child's face that I went on the ride with.
Probably in Disney World
At the bank, I get a ticket *People in line:57* Oh heeeeeeeeeeeeell no!
I agree. I'll be back another time.
Stood for almost two hours for a short arm inspection! It was OK as it was hot as hell.
Hot as hell?
Um... were the inspectors female?
Yep! How they got their hands so cold will always make me wonder!
They probably swabbed their hands in alcohol between inspections, so as not to spread germs.
Ice cold alcohol! LOL
That was so the guy being inspected would be at order arms before inspection arms proceeded.
That's fer sure! That's fer dang sure! LOL
When I was at Disney Florida , when they first opened ET at Universal, the queue was massive and we waited over thre hours...I've been in a traffic queue that never moved for 8 hours...
For 8 hours?
I hope you didn't need a bathroom break.
There is always somewhere for a guy to excuse himself..hehe
Like an empty water bottle...?
There once was a guy in a queue,
Who urgently needed the loo.
He took a used bottle
And opened full throttle;
Sighing, "Ooh, 'twas relief overdue."
That's one of your better ones, Think!! Ha!
The government assistance line. My friends and I had a rally.
Voluntarily it was for 1 hr to see "Return of the Jedi back in the 80's. Involuntarily it was 4 hours for an IG Inspection. Neither was worth it. Ha!
The line at the palladium in Worcester Massachusetts to get in to see Slayer
Disneyland. Biggest scam in America. $100 per person to stand in line 9 hours out of a ten hour day.
I think it was a queue for a concert of band H.I.M.
Way back in the old days, before all the modern ticket services were invented, I was a freshman at the University of Michigan in 1964 and stood in line at the Administration Building to get a ticket to sit in the student section at the 1965 Rose Bowl Game. My memory is that it took about six hours for me to work my way to the front of the line. I still have the game ticket stub and believe it or not, the price printed on the ticket is $6.00.
And if that line wasn't long enough, the flight out to California I took to attend the game took even longer. It was on an old model with four propeller engines and the flight left Detroit just after sunrise, had to stop in Albuquerque to refuel, and arrived in Los Angeles just before sunset.
Anyway, Michigan beat Oregon State 34-7 at that Rose Bowl Game and I still have 8mm film I took during the game to prove it!
Disney World. We had to stand in long lines for everything....I overheard a guy say: "You have to stand in line to get food and you have to stand in line to get rid of it"
Hanson concert. Wrapped around the block and then some.
Thirty to thirty-five people ahead of me.
