Did you know that: the first colour children see is the color red.
I knew that..
Did you know he liked peanut butter and banana sandwiches?
I hear some restaurants in the area have Elvis Specials...:)
Yep..Never tried one myself
Instead of your PB and Jam sandwich...maybe try some bananas...
If i think about it one day... i'll try it..
Try bananas on one side of the PB...and jam on the other. Scrumptious.
My inner Chef kicking in: add some whipped creme.
I don't know about the whipped cream but i might try it with jam..
Yess.... his brother was Jessie
I didn't know that....
Jessie is a common man's name elsewhere; here it's a woman's name.
There was always, Jesse James..... <s>
Yah.....I guess I was referring to Canada. It's more of a ...redneck name. Oui? Pour l'homme?
I did not know that.
Here's one for ya
World Trade Center buildings 1,2 and 7 are the only steel framed skyscrapers officially determined to have suffered a total structural collapse due to fire.
Hard to believe, I know, but that is the official story, so like, it HAS to be true... right? lol
World Trade Center 7 Report Puts 9/11 Conspiracy Theory to Rest
"Fire alone brought down the building"
"This is the first time that we are aware of, that a building taller than about 15 stories has collapsed primarily due to fires,"
Debunking the 9/11 Myths: Special Report - The World Trade Center
"The jet fuel was the ignition source," Williams tells PM. "It burned for maybe 10 minutes, and [the towers] were still standing in 10 minutes. It was the rest of the stuff burning afterward that was responsible for the heat transfer that eventually brought them down."
The original actor cast for the Scarecrow in the Wizard Of Oz was Buddy Ebsen. He had to relinquish the role due to a severe and nearly fatal allergic reaction to the makeup.
It's so interesting after a famous movie...finding out who turned down certain rôles.
Oliver Hardy, from the team Laurel and Hardy, played the tin woodsman in the 1925 silent version of The Wizard of OZ.
Buddy Ebsen was the original cast member to play the tin woodsman. He almost died from the aluminum paint makeup.
Yes, and he was posed right next to his dead brother, for a photograph, which I have always found to be an appalling practice.
The current accepted hypothesis is that our planet was hit by a Mars-sized body, named Theia, about 4.5 billion years ago. It was big enough to knock Earth off its axis (largely contributing to our drastic change in seasons) and also created enough debris to cause rings around our planet, like what Saturn has now.
The rings of debris eventually coalesced to form our Moon.
Another fun little tidbit is that the Moon used to be a lot closer and is slowly moving away from the Earth. It's estimated that it'll reach a more stable orbit, be basically a bright star in the sky, will sync up with our orbit and only visible to half the planet in about 50 billion years...
But our Sun will turn into a Red Giant and devour us long before that ever happens, about 5 billion years from now.
Pleasant dreams! : )
You can only see a solar eclipse during a full moon.
Is that better? : )
Semple; you always make people think.
I'd rather think about nothing and just have fun... but what can ya do?
Having fun is not all it's cracked up to be.
Agreed. Specifically when your idea of "fun" is to attack other people and pretty much just be an ****.
I'll never understand those people. But I will stand up to them. : )
Around .7 percent of the human population is born intersex that means not fully male or fully female thats about the same percentage as redheads in the usa population
Intersex? You knew I was going to say that. Trans?
There's a fantastic book about it called Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides.
Thank you Semple.
Giraffes have black tongues, the Easter island "heads" have bodies, "witches" as we see them at Halloween with crooked noses, green faces, crazy hair are supposedly styled after the women who were accused of being witches after "interrogation " broken noses, hair ripped out, and green skin from healing bruises.
Do you know that the word "paper" was coined from papyrus, the first wood from which paper was made?
The anti-piracy ad ("Piracy — It's a Crime") was fined...for piracy.
Since Charlottesville, Va. has been constantly in the news these days, and Thomas Jefferson' mansion, Monticello is on a hill overlooking Charlottesville, here is a trivia tidbit: Thomas Jefferson invented the coat hanger.
