Midnight Blue by Lou Graham
Lou is one of my favorite singers!
Hearing this song on the radio back in 1987 going through what I was going through back then being engaged to a hard working/ good hearted/good man who at times was sadly struggling with his alcohol addiction at 24 yrs old..... this song would get me through the times when he would go missing for days during an alcohol induced bender of 24/7 partying, he died at 26 yrs old in a car accident because he was drinking and driving .
That is sad, Gronk. I know how hard it is to watch good people you love deal with addiction.
It is sad.... he was such a great guy when he didn't drink. so back then I couldn't figure out why he would continue to drink alcohol/go on benders when he knew he turned into a different person(an ****) whenever he drank alcohol......for me it was just common sense NOT TO DRINK anymore if doing so changed your personality where you would do or say things you would NEVER say or do when sober.
We went to counseling for his drinking, where I was told by our reformed alcoholic counselor after me telling him my beliefs... angrily said to me........... "you don't know what it's like to be an alcoholic like me and Mark are, so you need to stop trying to make him feel bad for drinking during my process of getting him sober!"
Even at 24 I knew this counselor was nuts..thus contributing to my fiancee "feeling" he had to move 3000 miles away to live in southern California to "find himself" and then him coming back home 4 months later to still being an alcoholic getting drunk at our states East coast beach to hang out with his friends who hadn't seen him in 4 months, and him driving drunk that day.
I truly empathize with your lost loved one, but you just do not know that your friend was an alcoholic, and obviously you are not an alcoholic. The counselor was correct, however, an alcoholic cannot be sobered up unless he admits his disease and truly wants to actually quit drinking for good. It may seem like common sense to you, but will power alone will not keep most alcoholics sober. The obsession to drink is too powerful without the support of understanding alcoholics who are sober and can be of the greatest help to a recovering alcoholic.
I understand....what I couldn't get back then was that he admitted he was an alcoholic and even went to AA meetings but sadly still couldn't stop drinking.
What I get now is that at times(especially during the summer) he being in his 20's as an alcoholic just wanted to be a normal guy in his 20's partying like his buddies who could be at the beach drinking or at a club drinking without turning into another person.... like he sadly would turn into :(

There are several colors that I like, but I'll do "green" this time:
Black, black everythings black! 乂^◡^乂
First thing I thought of off the top of my head.
Two very old ones:
Purple Haze - Jimmy Hendrix
and, about a blue house in San Francisco:
Maxime le Forestier - La maison bleue
There are also
Yellow River - Christie
Azurro - Adriano Celentano
(azzurro is a light blue)
My favorite color is green, but there's not a song or a band with the color green in their band's name that I like...therefore I'm just posting a song I use to love but forgot how much I loved this song til I heard it tonight on satellite radio <div style="position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.21%"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/a...A?ecver=2" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0" width="641" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

It has all colors but the language is Tamil
This one is Japanese and has "white" in the title ("shiroi tsubasa" = "white wings"). It's beautiful even if you don't understand the lyrics. (I'm studying Japanese and can only understand a bit of it) The singer is Alan Dawa.
favorite color is really red so this song is better

In all this band is taking David Bowie's Space rock idea and bringing it back anew with warnings from the future it has an illustrated novel and book out.
Black is my favorite color too.
