Abandoned places....they exist everywhere from ghost towns in the West to underground railway stations, in the case of this illustration, City Hall Station in NYC, Originally opened in 1904, this ornate station was the showpiece of the new New York City subway system, with arches and vaulted ceilings, elegant Guastavino and colored glass tiling, skylights, and brass chandeliers. Hey, there used to be an amusement park in Southern Ontario named "Crystal Beach", and they had a wooden "comet" roller coaster too. I went on it several times as a kid.

There is an abandoned subway in Toronto that they use for movies....
Once in the subway I kept seeing ppl go through a door...so...naturally I went behind them to go, too...
I got stopped....told it was an abandoned subway for theatre....and that' is how I found out!!

ha.....I never would gave guessed. looks pretty elaborate for a dog track, but then, I've never been. Went to the caliente horse races down in Tj...and I don't recall that looked that nice.
