Right, and an injury stopped his circus acrobat career - and he did quite a few stunts by himself. Another famous movie star known to have done stunts by himself was Jean-Paul Belmondo.
I was sure that you knew about "Breathless", "The Brain" (with Niven and Bourvil), "Up to His Ears" or "Borsalino", just to cite a few of the most known movies.
Oh, I see; I remembered vaguely that there had been a remake but that was all, so, I checked (and found right away a mistake in closing dialogue of the English version of the information):
Correction: « C'est vraiment dégueulasse. » = "it is really disgusting", i.e. Michel did not say "I'm" or "You're" disgusting, but only "it is disgusting", referring to the whole situation, not to her or him ...
But they, i.e. one of the police officers misinterpreted that and said that he blamed her.
I remember, besides "Pretty Woman" (of course), "An Officer and a Gentleman" and found that the movie, the story and it's heroes, especially Richard Gere, were excellent.
The grinder calling people into the sideshows or making ballyhoo.
With a crusty top-hat, tattered patchwork suit, and a devils grin yelling "Step right up folks the show is gonna begin.
